Access is convenient—simply turn off HWY 16 at Folding Mountain. Keep left behind the brewery and you will see a gravel road that wraps behind the property. Follow this road until you see Northaven on your right.

Our rooms are designed for single occupancy to provide a tranquil environment for reflection and solitude. For multi-occupancy options, you may consider Jasper East Cabins, our sister property.

Each Habitat room includes a private bathroom with a shower. Cabins at Jasper East offer single bathrooms with bathtubs and showers.

Meals are not provided, but you will have access to two full kitchens with all appliances. Additionally, Folding Mountain Brewing and Juniper Pizza Pies are two restaurants within walking distance.

We recommend bringing comfortable clothing, a bathing suit, layers for varying weather, sturdy hiking shoes, a water bottle, personal toiletries, groceries or snacks and a journal.

Yes, we require a minimum stay of three nights to ensure guests fully benefit from the retreat experience.

We offer a range of unique experiences including group and private classes, massage, helicopter tours and more based on availability—please inquire for our full service menu.
All services must be scheduled at time of booking to secure a time.

Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days will be subject to a 50% fee. No refunds are given for cancellations within 7 days of arrival.

While we do not provide transportation, we can assist you in arranging it. For transport from the airport we recommend taking a bus from Sundog Tours & Transportation to Hinton and renting a car in town. Sundog Tours provides routes from both the Calgary and Edmonton international airport.
Northaven has partnered with Griffiths Ford Hinton to offer discounted rental car services for our guests.

No, The Habitat features 15 stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.

Yes, a general store is located at the main building of Jasper East Cabins, open daily during the summer months.

Early check-in may be possible based on availability. Rooms are typically ready by 4 PM. We do not offer late check-out at this time.

Yes, we offer a variety of wellness treatments and massages. These can be booked upon arrival, subject to availability.

Northaven is proudly alcohol-free! To preserve the experience for all of our guests we ask that you do not bring alcohol in the building.

Our retreat is designed for adults aged 18 and over.
Please see our 'Alternate Accommodations' page for information on shared cabins.

We encourage guests to disconnect and minimize phone and electronic device usage to fully immerse themselves in the retreat experience.
Northaven is proudly EMF free and we ask that phones be left in your vehicle during your stay here.
If needed: Wi-Fi is available down the road at Folding Mountain Brewing or Jasper East Cabins.

The price of the kitchen and yoga space are included in the price of a Private Retreat.

The Habitat can host up to 20 guests at a time including retreat hosts.

Yes, we provide yoga props such as bolsters, blocks, and mats. Please inform us of the total number required.

Access to the Sun/Fire Place includes the yurt during a private retreat. Please inquire for pricing.

Yes, drumming around the fire pit is allowed.

Sauna sessions are available from 9 AM to 5 PM. Please schedule your preferred time to avoid unnecessary wood usage.

Yes, however, guests will be responsible for any damage caused by burns or wax.
